As the current board chair for Girls on the Run International, I am deeply passionate about creating a world where every girl can activate her limitless potential and boldly pursue her dreams. In honor of International Day of the Girl, our board members have challenged each other to raise funds and I have set a goal to raise $15,000 for Girls on the Run International in the next 10 days!
As we approach this International Day of the Girl, it feels ever more important to empower girls to define themselves on their own terms, and to rise above pervasive societal messages and barriers – both conscious and unconscious – that limit their potential. My father (pictured above), who passed away unexpectedly early this month--had 4 girls. He would have loved the lessons that Girls on the Run teaches especially, standing up for yourself and others, being comfortable with who you are and being accepting of those who may be different from you, and of course very likely his favorite-- BE KIND and HAVE FUN! So I've made the first donation to this campaign in his honor.
By supporting Girls on the Run, you are providing girls with the opportunity experience a program that will help them to use their voice, set and achieve personal goals, and recognize the inner power they possess to make their mark on the world all while celebrating who they are and having fun.
Please support Girls on the Run, Celebrate the International Day of the Girl and honor my Dad by making a donation today!
